Malaga is a paradise for food lovers. In recent years, the gluten-free dining scene here has grown; with everything from dedicated 100% GF bakeries to tapas bars and sushi spots that make GF options easy to find. From classic Spanish tapas with GF twists to stylish eateries and cozy brunch cafes, these are the best gluten-free restaurants in Malaga that I tried and loved on my trip. My favorite part of traveling is honestly the food and drinks. Food makes me happy, and some drinks do too! Enjoy and happy eating!
Breakfast and Brunch
BYOKO
I visited this place twice because the gluten-free breakfast options were so good! It’s very popular, and for good reason. The menu is excellent, and the food is beautifully presented, perfect for Instagram! I tried the yogurt bowl with gluten-free granola and fruit one day, and scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese toast another. Both were delicious, fresh, and organic. Prices were around €15 per person for breakfast, including a drink. I wanted to go back for lunch or dinner but didn’t get the chance.

Tapas, Lunch, and Dinner in Malaga
Los Tacos Málaga
I found this place on Instagram before our trip, and it became our first stop. Tacos are my favorite food, and these didn’t disappoint. With a large menu full of authentic Mexican-style tacos, most priced at just €1 or €2, we couldn’t resist trying almost all of them. They also have other Mexican favorites on the menu, including nachos and burritos. Also, you can’t have tacos without a margarita, and that was also amazing! Our group of four devoured 28 tacos and drinks, and the bill was under €60. Fantastic food and prices!

The Gluten Free Company
A small spot near our apartment, perfect for a quick snack. The menu is simple, but everything is gluten-free. I had buttered toast and a croquette, while my husband had hummus toast with tofu and sunflower seeds. Everything was tasty and affordable—the bill was around €15.

Lolita Taberna Andaluza
A tapas spot because you can’t visit Spain without eating tapas! There was some confusion about gluten-free items, so I stuck with a Spanish tortilla, which was delicious as always. We also had some wine, and they gave us free shots of Licor 43, which was so good!

Los Melizos Málaga
No trip to Spain is complete without paella! I found this spot on Find Me Gluten Free, and it had great reviews. The gluten-free bread was tasty, and the paella was absolutely delicious. We also had flan for dessert, making this one of the best meals of our trip. Great service and a must-visit!

Sushi Flower
Sushi is my second favorite food after tacos, but finding gluten-free sushi can be tricky. Here, almost the entire menu was gluten-free, including the fried rolls! We tried 7 different rolls and edamame, and it was all delicious. Our bill was €65 for everything—totally worth it!

Noviembre Healthy Food
Burgers can be a challenge when you have celiac disease, but not here! The gluten-free burgers were massive and delicious. Mine had a fried egg and Iberian bacon, and the fries were great too. They also offer vegetarian and vegan options, plus massive sangrias. I’d definitely return!

Yummy Helados Saludables
This dedicated gluten-free ice cream and dessert shop was a dream come true! They offer a wide range of ice creams and gluten-free cones, plus pastries and cakes. It was my first ice cream cone in years, and it was delicious! I went back twice, and the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend if you’re in Málaga.

El Pastelero Real
A 100% gluten-free pastry shop! As a pastry school graduate, this place made me so happy. I got a croissant, a donut, and a cinnamon roll, and they were all delicious. While the croissant wasn’t as flaky as a traditional one, it was still really good. (I have yet to find a gf croissant that is as good as a regular one; I couldn’t even find one in Paris) They also have a coffee shop with churros, which I plan to try next time I’m in Málaga.

El Rincon del Cervecero
This craft beer spot had over 100 craft beers, plus ciders and hidromel for me. We each had a couple of drinks before heading to dinner. A fun place to stop for drinks!
