I have now lived in Portugal for over 4 years. I can hardly believe it. Anyone who’s moved knows it’s hard, even just from one apartment to another. Moving to a new country is a whole different beast. You can do all the research in the world and it will still be difficult.
While I was preparing to move, I joined a couple of Facebook groups and read some stuff online, but I never really talked to anyone about specifics. I kind of went about it blindly.
I brought tons of stuff I didn’t need, and left behind things I wish I had brought. After I arrived, I realized so many things were different to adjust to, and many were the same or even better. I know many relocation specialists help with rentals and the logistics of getting here, but I felt there was a need for a simple conversation about what to expect, what life is like after the dust settles, and practical things like what shoes I should pack (cobblestones are everywhere!). I decided to start offering consultation calls so I can answer these types of questions.

- Do you want to know what living in the Algarve is like?
- Do you want to know what shopping is like and what foods you can or can’t get at the grocery stores?
- How hard is it to meet people and join a community? (That was honestly my biggest worry, and meeting friends wasn’t very hard!)
- How hard is it to learn the language?
- How easy is it to travel around Europe?
Seriously, ask me anything; I promise I won’t judge you for asking if Portugal has Target.

I’m not a legal expert or a relocation specialist, so no legal stuff or visa stuff. It’s also been a few years since I moved, so I am sure things have changed. I also don’t have kids, so I don’t have much knowledge about anything kid-related.

How to Schedule

Calls are 30 minutes long and cost just $45. When you schedule, there will be a spot for you to list some questions you have. It will help me make sure I am prepared to give you all the correct information. If you have more questions during the call, it’s fine. I can always get back to you if I don’t know the answer offhand. When you schedule, I will send a payment link. As soon as payment has been made, I will confirm the appointment via email. It’s super easy.
